To celebrate March Madness, Ashbury Elementary School has been integrating basketball themes into various academic subjects. In reading, students have been reading about basketball legends while using new research strategies. In math, students received opportunities to shoot for points after answering questions about fractions. Lastly, read aloud time was structured like a tournament where students vote on their most favored book!
In addition to academic skills, staff and students participated in a dress up week to honor March Madness. Each student received a scorecard to keep track of one, two, and three pointers for following expectations. #PLCSGreat
