4.1% of citizens unemployed in Douglas County in 2021

Douglas County recorded an unemployment rate of 4.1% among residents aged 16 and 65 years old in 2021. That’s 12,949 people out of the 578,771 living in Douglas County at the time, according to data obtained from the U.S. Census Bureau.

The unemployment rate in Douglas County has remained fairly stable compared to the 4.1% registered in 2020.

The percentage of people unemployed in Douglas County was greater than the statewide unemployment rate of 3.3%.

Of the 303,410 people who had a job during that time, 984 were employed in the Armed Forces and 302,426 belonged to the civilian labor force.
