City of Papillion Ends COVID-19 State of Local Emergency

City of Papillion issued the following announcement on Mar. 3.

The City of Papillion has ended its state of local emergency regarding the spread of COVID-19, which was declared on March 16, 2020.

Whereas, the Mayor of the City of Papillion, as the City's principal executive officer, is authorized by Neb. Rev. Stat. $81-829.50 and Papillion Municipal Code 8104-7 to declare, continue, or terminate a local emergency; and Whereas, on March 16, 2020 the Mayor declared a state of local emergency in Papillion, by reason of the spread of COVID-19 in the community and the resulting endangerment to the health and safety of the citizens of Papillion; and Whereas, the Mayor now finds that the said emergency has been dealt with to the extent that those conditions no longer exist, and that the said emergency declaration should be terminated. Therefore, the Mayor of the City of Papillion hereby proclaims that the state of local emergency declared on March 16, 2020, is terminated.
